The Ones Who Stayed Foundation banner: support for foster youth, families, and young adults in transition.

About Us

Built from lived experience, professional care, and the belief that stability should not be left to chance.

The Ones Who Stayed Foundation is being built to provide practical, nonclinical support for foster youth, former foster youth, young adults, and families navigating placement instability and transition.

Our story

This foundation grew out of a simple truth: youth often need more than a discharge plan, a new placement, or a list of services. They need steady people, practical help, and support that follows them through the hard parts.

The organization is designed to support the people around the youth too. Foster parents, kinship caregivers, adoptive families, and young adults leaving care all need support that is consistent, respectful, and grounded in real life.

Our approach

Nonclinical support that strengthens the whole circle.

We do not replace clinical services. We support the stability around clinical care.
We do not place children. We help support youth and caregivers before, during, and after major placement transitions.
We believe support should be practical. Routines, transportation planning, housing guidance, family support, resource access, and connection can make a real difference.
